Synopsis:

The first book in Alyson Noël’s extraordinary new series…

Since a horrible accident claimed the lives of her family, Ever can see auras, hear people’s thoughts, and know a person’s entire life story by touch. Going out of her way to avoid human contact and suppress her abilities has branded her as a freak at her new high school—but everything changes when she meets Damen.

Damen Auguste is gorgeous, exotic and wealthy. He’s the only one who can silence the noise and random energy in her head—wielding a magic so intense, it’s as though he can see straight into her soul. As Ever is drawn deeper into his enticing world of secrets and mystery, she’s left with more questions than answers. She has no idea just who he really is—or what he is. The only thing she knows to be true is she’s falling deeply and helplessly in love with him.

Praise for Evermore:

"Combining mystery and romance, EVERMORE is the beginning of the next must-read paranormal series. Be sure to get your hands on this one - you’ll be swept away." -5 Star Gold Award, TeensReadToo

1) Your main character, Ever, is psychic and can see people’s auras, if you could have any special power, what would it be?

When I first started writing the book, I was so jealous of Ever’s powers, but it wasn’t long before I realized how hard it would be. Knowing a person’s entire life story by touch and hearing everyone’s thoughts would feel more than a little invasive. Or as Ever puts it, “Hearing your friend’s thoughts requires a heck of a lot of forgiveness.” Though I still think seeing auras would be cool . . .

2) Since becoming a writer, what’s the coolest thing to ever happen to you?

Seeing my first book, FAKING 19, on the bookstore shelves was definitely a dream-come-true moment. Getting my first e-mail from a reader was completely amazing!

3) The Damen character in Evermore is very dreamy. I fell just a little bit in love when I read it. Is he inspired by anyone you know?

Damen encompasses all the traits I find appealing—he’s smart, artistic, inventive, open minded, curious, adventurous, well mannered, mysterious, oh, and he’s skilled in the kitchen too! Hmmm, now that I think about it, he shares a lot of the same traits as my husband . . .I definitely married a Renaissance man!

4) If Evermore were to be turned into a movie, who would be your top choice to play Ever and Damen?

It’s funny, because writing my books is such a visual experience, I often feel like I’m transcribing the movie in my head! And while I can see all of my characters so clearly, down to the smallest detail, that actually makes it hard for me to cast them with real life actors. Though I wouldn’t mind sitting in on the casting call for Damen’s role . . .

5) What fictional character would you like to have coffee with?

Well, since I’ve been coffee free for seven months now (and counting! I feel like I should get a chip or something!), I’d be delighted to enjoy a steaming cup of green tea with Mr. Rochester from Jane Eyre (before the fire!).
